Table Shops is a sales project that will give your group the opportunity to profit from the highly lucrative industry of selling advertising. The project can be done as a one-time fundraiser, or it could become a growing small enterprise for your group within your community.
The advertising your group will sell is a unique form of media that may be completely new to your community! Table Shops and Trivia gets its name from the fact that the project's acrylic stands which hold advertising for local 'shops' are hosted on restaurants' tables... and there's trivia printed in between each ad to generate interest for the restaurants' customers who browse the ads as they wait for their dinner. So, the readership of your media are those people who will be in the restaurants hosting your ad stands. The businesses who will be interested in attracting that readership are many!
Here's an overview of what Table Shops involves:
1) Get supporting restaurants on board to host your ad stands.
2) Sell at least 18 ad spots for your ad stands.
3) Send the info to Custom Resources and we'll do all the layout and return the ad stands to you asap to distribute to your restaurants.

Restaurants are your first stop. It will be your goal to get enough restaurants to host a total of 100 ad stands; you'll need 100 tables. For example, a group may only need 3 participating restaurants like the example shows below or they may need more to accumlulate 100 tables. The restaurants don't pay anything to participate. They just lend your group the tops of their tables to set the ad stands on for a six-month advertising period. As a thank you to the participating restaurants, we will customize the front of the ad stands for those that will be hosted by each restaurant. You'll collect the information the restaurant wants on their page and send it to Custom Resources. See the example below using the front's of 3 actual participating restaurants in Michigan:

Your next goal is to sell at least 18 ads. In most communities of at least 10,000 population, there are 100's of potential advertisers who will be interested in the unique form of media you'll offer. Businesses and individuals who commonly buy advertising from Table Shops groups include:
To do this project, your group will need to sell 18 spots of advertising to your local businesses.
With the sale of only 18 advertisements, your group earns $972!

advertising spaces in your local Table Shops ad booklets! We'll advertise our fundraising line! In addition to the 18 you will sale, this will make your profit grow to $1080!
The ads are full-color and the size is exactly the same as a business card (see the examples below.) Ads are priced at $30 / month and you will sell advertising for a period of 6-months. That's how long you'll ask the restaurants to host the ad stands, too.

Notice how several of the advertisements are the company's or individual's business card! This makes the decision an easy one for the advertiser! They don't have to spend a lot of time laying something out for an ad. If they request, we can take off or add additional information to the card, use only the logo, add a special, etc.
You'll also notice that double and triple ad spaces are available in the pages of the ad booklets. These are 2 times or 3 times the price of the individual advertisement of $30/month. The advertiser pays for 6 months of advertising for the ad space they purchase. A great value for the company who knows the essential nature of full-color advertising!

Q: Do the restaurants pay anything?
A: No, the restaurants get the front page customized in the ad stands in return for hosting your ad stands.
Q: How long does our group sell advertisements?
A: After your restaurants are determined, it's suggested that your group sell ads for two weeks.
Q: Who creates the ads?
A: Custom Resources will typically create the ads by scanning business cards or by using digital logo files provided by the advertiser. Some groups do, however, put together the ads but it is not required.
Q: Who provides the trivia questions?
A: Custom Resources can provide generic trivia or groups may want to provide trivia about their community or something relevant to their locality for greater reader interest.
Q: When do the advertisers pay for their advertising?
A: The advertising fee for the 6-month period is collected at the time of sale. Groups can accept credit cards from advertisers. Custom Resources will process the card and apply it to the group's invoice.
